Transformative Leadership is evolving into one of the most in-demand fields in the world. In this course, students will learn how to deliver superior leadership, achieve more, and connect more meaningfully to drive organizational revenues and profitability.
  • This certification course is an 8-module course that takes roughly 32 hours or more to complete (depending on your level of engagement and/or whether you choose to engage in the optional activities).
  • The goals of this program are to envelope and endow a sense of understanding, empathy, and thought into today’s leaders in order to navigate through these disruptive, turbulent times.
We discuss the importance of digital transformation and help to identify the value in emerging technologies, business models, as well as private and public resources; combining experienced industry leaders and top academic faculty, this program helps the client develop an understanding of a range of topics and skills to navigate a turbulent environment and emerge with a competitive advantage.

Module 1
Mike talks about “Old School Leadership” (from 1900) to the Launch of the Internet, (the “new normal”), the chaotic state of the world pre-pandemic and how to lead during a global pandemic
Module 2
Learn how to motivate, transform cultures and how to optimize motivation by organizational approaches: Creating Deliberately Developmental Cultures, Micro-enterprises, and Holocracies
Module 3
Here, we learn about two key terms: Power and Influence. We learn about Nelson Mandela’s (his masterful use of these terms) and study power and influence as a leadership quality.
Module 4
In this module, we take a look at “Digital Transformation”, the concept of “Innovation Theatre”, what real innovation looks like, compare the 3 Horizon Growth model to Human-centered Design, Open Innovation & Open-Source Economics, Lean / Agile methodologies, and a “Digitally Savvy” Boards of Directors
Module 5
The Business Roundtable’s New Charter of the Corporation: Certified B Corporations, “Benefit” Corporations and Social Ventures.
Module 6
We take a look at the various leaders, from the exception to the terrible. We discuss what it means to be confident and how over-confidence can lead to being blinded by your own expertise. We discuss the increasing demand for “T-shaped” workers, empowering individual contributors to step up as leaders. We watch and review the movie, “12 Angry Men” as discuss those who stepped up as leaders such as Bill & Melinda Gates, Jeff Skoll, Malala, Greta Thunberg, Turana Burke, etc.
Module 7
What does the future of work look like? It seems to be trending towards an increasingly remote & freelance workforce. We discuss the implications of working alongside technology (algorithms, bots, robots, etc.), and take proven approaches to level up focus, clarity, stamina in order to build resilience and adaptability in times of uncertainty, disruption, adversity and finally, cutting through the “crisis fog”.
