A technique for helping you find your purpose
- The Golden Circle gets to the heart and inspiration behind all your actions
- It answers the questions “why do you do what you do?” and “what do I stand for?”
- Gives action to your thoughts
Methodology
Many people define themselves by what they do; however, the why is front and center. because the why is the real driver behind who you really are.
Make the following Lists: Why, How and What
Write the following down:
- Create a personal motto to live by.
- If you had to write a billboard to promote yourself in ten words or less, what would it say?
- Write down the names of three people who “get you” and say why.
- What role do you play in others’ lives?
- Look back at times results were unfavorable. Map those out there.
- When it comes to the actual Golden Circle:
- Write down your WHAT first — the phrases you choose to convey your intentions, the strength and success of your relationships, decisions that you make in all your spheres of life, the professional services you offer or results that you achieve at work. These are all the things you do to affirm your purpose.
